Increasing social control is prevention
According to evaluation of data from 30 years at the Charité Berlin, 95% of sexual offenders are deterred if they are aware that, on the one hand, sexual violence is condemned by society and, on the other hand, that they might face legal consequences for their actions.
Based on these findings, our goal is to spread both awareness that sexual violence is not accepted by society as well as spreading awareness that offenders will face consequences.

If a woman is sexually harassed, she can activate a distress call using her smartphone, which will send her location to other app users and the police, who can then come to resolve the situation.
The application is currently being prepared for a first test-run in Pune, Maharashtra. After the test run with a small group of users, the application will be further improved and then released for the citizens of Pune. Currently the app is planned to be released in February 2018.
