Dr. Avinash De Sousa is a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist with a private practice in Mumbai. He is an avid reader and has over 300 publications in national and international journals. He is one of the few psychiatrists who – in addition to a psychiatry degree – has an MBA in Human Resource Development, a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counseling and an MPhil in Psychology.
Dr. Anja Kovacs directs the Internet Democracy Project in Delhi, India, which works for an internet that supports free speech, democracy and social justice in India and beyond. Anja’s research and advocacy focus especially on questions regarding cybersecurity, the architecture of internet governance and freedom of expression, including issues such as the online harassment of women in India. She has been a member of the of the Investment Committee of the Digital Defenders Partnership and of the Steering Committee of Best Bits, a global network of civil society members.
Dr. Ravi Verma is Regional Director for the International Centre for Research on Women’s (ICRW) Asia Regional Office in New Delhi, India. Over the past three decades or so he has worked and published extensively on issues of men, masculinity, male sexual health and gender equality as they relate to violence against women, reproductive health including family planning and HIV and AIDS in India and in the countries of the Asian region. Ravi is a member of the High-Level Committee on the Status of Women (HLCSW), Government of India, as well as of the Rights & Empowerment working group of the FP2020 Initiative.
Rashna Imhasly works as a transpersonal psychologist. Trained in Jungian psychology, she has also trained with Byron Katie on “The Work” and trained with Bert Hellenger in Germany in the group process “Orders of Love.” Besides her private practice, she works with groups in conflict areas in Kashmir. She is the author of the book “Psychology of Love – Wisdom of Indian Mythology,” which sets out the uses of Indian and Greek myths as therapeutic tools for a better understanding in the field of love and marriage and relationships. Her latest book based on relationship issues titled “The Emerging Feminine – Discovering the Goddess Within,” which traces the cultural difficulties that hinder mature partnerships within the Indian context.
Advocate N S Nappinai began practising at the Madras bar in 1991, before moving to Mumbai at the turn of the century. She has amassed extensive experience especially in constitutional, corporate, commercial, criminal, IP & cyber law, and enjoys an “excellent” reputation for her IT and IP rights work in particular. She is a prolific writer and has published extensively in The Times of India, the Economic Times & The Wire. Nappinai also lectures and conducts seminars globally on technology laws & IP for the judiciary, police & industry verticals. Ms. Nappinai is a founder member of Technology Law Forum (TLF), a not for profit organization involved in research & education in technology laws.
